"Federal Government will provide tractors on priority basis for the development of agriculture sector in Balochistan" stated Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture Nazar Mohammad Gondal while talking to the Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani who called on him at his office on Saturday. The Federal Minister said that the government could not meet the requirements of the Tractor Scheme due to the current rise in the value of dollar.
He said that the Food and Agriculture Ministry has formally requested Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani for provision of the funds for Tractor Scheme to be further granted to province of the Balochistan.
Minister said that he has agreed with the Balochistan Chief Minister to develop the agriculture farm in Dera Allahyar Khan for production of quality seeds in the farm. The Chief Minister thanked the Prime Minister and the Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture for their keen interest in the development of agriculture sector in province of Balochistan. Agriculture Development Commissioner Dr Khuda Bux, Project Director Dr Masood Amjad Rana and other high officials of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture were present during the meeting.-PR
