Shahbaz shows interest in uplift of Chiniot

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif was showing keen interest in the uplift work of Chiniot and also giving it the status of district, said PML-N Central Secretary General International Affairs Sheikh Kaiser Mehmood here on Saturday.
He added that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led government in Punjab, by giving Chiniot the status of district, has fulfilled another long standing demand of the people of the area for which the credit goes to President PML-N and CM Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif.
He said that the Punjab government would adopt more steps for the development of Chiniot and its furniture industry which was given the status of district as per promise of former Prime Minister and PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif. He said tehsil Chiniot was citadel of PML-N and "we would have to jointly struggle for bringing the district Chiniot at par with developed districts of the province".
Sheikh Kaiser Mehmood lauded Chief Minister's people friendly initiatives and said that the province would become cradle of peace and prosperity under the leadership of Shahbaz Sharif. He said that Chief Minister's revolutionary steps in education sector would lead to promotion of education and eliminating illiteracy and backwardness from the province.
