The finals of inaugural Inter-school Rowing Regatta will be held on Sunday (today) from 7am to 4pm, says a press release issued here on Saturday. For the first time, over 200 students from 12 schools in Pakistan are competing in a rowing regatta, organised in Karachi by the Karachi Boat Club.
The opening ceremony was attended by all rowers, officials and parents of the competitors, an impressive on-water march past was performed by some very accomplished junior rowers including former Pakistan Olympian rower. Races had been already began the other day whereas 119 races have already taken place and 128 races are left.
Karachi Grammar School with 29 wins are leading from the front followed by The Lyceum School, CAS School and International School with good show. The prize distribution and closing ceremony will be on the same day.-PR
