Actionaid would screen a film titled "Voices Unheard- Beyond the politics of conflict" on Tuesday (February 3). A 17-minute documentary film is a story of the people unheard, traumatized and largely neglected in the wake of 'war on terror' and insurgency induced conflict, an official said here.
"Voices Unheard is meant to illustrate the sufferings of the ordinary citizens in the turbulent areas and shake the conscience of the concerned authorities."
The story will reveal how multiple forces and factions keep blaming one another, making claims and counter claims of success and assaults while the innocent souls remain trapped in a triangle of blasts and crossfire for almost a decade now.
Their lives and livelihoods are torn apart and settlements reduced to debris. Extremists have declared a war on education and the number of schools closed and attacked continues to increase. Sadly, several plans of securing people's right to education and rehabilitation have so far proven fragile.
