Trading Corp-oration of Pakistan (TCP) has finalised the contract for the import of further 1,50,000 tonnes of urea at $285 per tonne. TCP Chairman, Muhammad Saeed told Geo News that the government had floated tender for the import of 2,50,000 tonnes of urea, but due to unstable prices, for the time being, 1,50,000 tonnes of urea was being imported from Singapore.
TCP Chairman further said that the government has approved $100 million for importing urea for the current fiscal year, out of which, 4,00,000 tonnes of urea valued at $400 million have already been imported.
