The federal government has promoted 36 officials of the police group (Grade-17) to the post of Superintendent of the Police and 22 officials (Grade-17/18) of the District Management Group (DMG).
According to the notifications issued by the Establishment Division here on Wednesday, following officials of the police group have been promoted to the post of Superintendent of the Police: Tanvir Alam, Iyaz Saleem, Syed Muhammad Amin, Ghulam Ansar; Junaid Ahmed; Pervez Khan Imrani; Faiz Ullah Pelejo; Muhammad Saleem; Sajid Kinai; Usman Akram Gondal; Zeeshan Asghar; Muhammad Ashfaq Alam; Muhammad Farooq Ahmed; Furrkuh Bashir; Zafar Chatta; Abdul Ghafar; Romail Akram; Inam Ur Rehman and other officials of the police group.
The following 13 officials of DMG group have also been promoted from Grade-18 to Grade 19: Nabeel Ahmed Awan; Syed Imtiaz Shah; Shakeel Ahmed Mian; Usman Akhtar Bajwa; Shakeel Ahmed; Salman Mufti; Ahsan Ali Mungi; Muhammad Iqbal Memon; Agha Wasif Abbas; Akram Ali Khawaja; Wasif Khurshid; Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah and Khaild Hyder Shah.
The following nine officials of DMG group have been promoted from Grade-17 to Grade 18: Amer Sultan Tareen; Muhammad Usman Muazam; Muhammad Jahanzeb; Maryum Khan; Raja Shah Zaman Khoro; Muhammad Nawaz; Mahmood Aslam; Agaha Muhammad Ali Abbas and others.
On April 29, 2009, managing director of the National Book Foundation Javed Akhtar would be retired. A Grade-19 official Khushdil Khan Malik has been posted as Deputy Secretary Parliamentary Affairs. However, Akhtar Jan Deputy Secretary Parliamentary Affairs has been given new assignment as Deputy Secretary Human Rights Division. A Grade-19 official of Food and Agriculture Division Javed Iqbal has been appointed as Deputy Secretary Live Stock Division.
