International development agencies: Prime Minister urges NWFP government to provide full security

The Prime Minister (PM), Syed Yusaf Raza Gilani has said that the government would take all necessary steps to ensure improvement in the security situation in Swat and for providing relief to all IDPs in the NWFP and Balochistan on an urgent basis.
He said this while discussing the issue with the Chief Minister, NWFP, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti and the Chief Minister, Balochistan, Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani, who called on him at the PM's House Wednesday evening. Discussing Swat situation comprehensively, the PM said that the government is focused on restoring peace to the area through its Three-D policy.
He asked the NWFP government to provide full security to the international development agencies working in the area. Gilani also directed the National Disaster Management Authority to immediately cater for the needs of the IDPs, particularly during the winter.
Further, Gilani was briefed on various public welfare projects under way in the NWFP and Balochistan as well as the overall security situation in the provinces. The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Sherry Rahman and Minister of State for EAD, Hina Rabbani Khar also attended the meeting.-PR
