'Regional peace impossible without resolving Kashmir issue'

Convenor of All Parties Hurriyat, Conference, Syed Yousuf Nasim said on Thursday that durable peace in South Asia is not possible without resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with aspirations of Kashmiris. Talking to PTV, he said cordial ties between Pakistan and India, are not possible without resolving longstanding issue of Kashmir.
He said Kashmiris have rendered matchless sacrifices to get freedom from occupation forces in Held Kashmir Valley. Nasim said United Nations had passed 22 resolutions on the issue of Kashmir, which unfortunately have not been implemented so for.
He recalled that it was India, who took the case of Kashmir to the United Nations and agreed that Kashmiris will be given the right to self-determination. To a question, he said thousands of Kashmiris were martyred, 100,000 houses, educational institutions and religious places were destroyed, during the ongoing indigenous liberation struggle.
