Tarin lauds Pakistan mission in strengthening ties with Japan

The Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance Shaukat Tarin has appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Embassy in Japan for strengthening Pak-Japan relations in various areas. He expressed these views when he arrived here on a four-day visit to Japan on Wednesday (February 4).
Pakistan's Ambassador designates Noor Muhammad Jadmani, Minister Economic at Pakistan Mission Iftikhar Babar and senior officials from both sides warmly greeted Tarin at the airport. In a briefing, Iftikhar Babar informed the Adviser about the Pak-Japan economic relations and highlighted the areas for further co-operation between the two countries.
The active role of Japan in providing Official Development Assistance (ODA) and its key role in Friends of Pakistan Forum, and on war of terror was also highlighted. Advisor Tarin appreciated the efforts of the Pakistani Mission in strengthening relations and making comprehensive programme for his meetings with Japanese side.
The visit has immense importance as the host country wanted to exchange views with Pakistani side on a number of economic packages for the development of infrastructure and economic stability in Pakistan. Advisor Shaukat Tarin is scheduled to meet and exchange views on various economic subjects with top Japanese economic and political leadership.
