IHC adjourns hearing in Farah Dogar case

18 Feb, 2009

The Islamabad High Court here on Tuesday adjourned till February 26 hearing of a plea for a review of the court's January 16 decision on award of additional marks to Farah Hameed Dogar. The adjournment came after the court was apprised that the relevant documents of the decision were not so far placed on record.
The single bench of Chief Justice Sardar Mohammad Aslam accepted adjournment plea of Barrister M. Javed Iqbal Jafferi, counsel for petitioner Iftikhar Ahmed Rajpoot. The counsels for Miss Farah had apprised the bench that review plea became ineffective after last week's decision of the division bench. Barrister Jaffery contended that former FBISE chairman Shamshad Ahmed's lawyers Malik Qayyum and Raja Abdur Rehman had presented wrong citations of laws before the court and for this reason the verdict could be reviewed.
