ATC resumes hearing of Wah suicide attack case today

An Anti Terrorist Court (ATC) will resume the hearing of the "Wah suicide attack case" here on Wednesday. The prosecution lawyer Akram Awan presented the Wakalatnama in the court of Judge ATC-II Sakhi Muhammad Kahut on the last date of hearing.
The accused Hameedullah, a suspected bomber was arrested soon after the two suicide attacks, which claimed 70 live on August 21, 2008. According to information, obtained from the accused, Hameedullah, police have recovered suicide vest, hand grenades and other explosive from Akora Khattak in Nowshera district on August 25, 2008.
Police have registered a criminal case against the unknown persons under section 302 (murder), 324 (attempt to murder), 435 (mischief by fire of explosive substance with intent to cause damage), 436 (Mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to destroy house, etc) 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) section 3 and 4 of Explosive Act and section 7 of Terrorism Act.
