Gang busted

Investigation Police Liaqatabad have busted on Tuesday a gang of criminals involved in a number of incidents of robbery and street crimes. Police arrested three members of the gang and seized 10 thousand in cash, two gold ornaments, three pistols and bullets from their possession. The accused confessed to a number of incidents during preliminary interrogation.
Capital City Police Officer, Muhammad Pervez Rathore directed SP Investigation Modal Town Rai Ijaz Ahmed to take effective measures for curbing crimes and a special team was constituted under the supervision of Incharge Investigation Liaqatabad, Sub-Inspector Fida Hussain, which collected the particulars of Tayyab gang and arrested three members on a tip-off.
The felons of this gang used to snatch valuables from passer-by at gunpoint besides committing house robberies. Cases have been registered against them in Liaqatabad police station. The arrested were identified as ringleader Hafiz Tayyab, Sajid Ahmed and Muhammad Zain. Further investigation is in progress.
