Pakistani singer Zain Ali, who participated in Indian reality TV show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, passed away at a friend’s house in Sheikhupura on Friday.

According to Express Tribune, the Lahore-based-singer had left home on Thursday night to visit friends in Sheikhupura. “Zain told us that he was going to hang out with his friends for a few days but we woke up to the news of his death,” the musician’s brother Sonu Ali said. However, Zain’s brother also shared that the singer was a drug addict but he wouldn’t have crossed the limits.

Zain’s friends told that he went to rest room and didn’t come out for a while. They then found him unconscious on floor. Medical investigation is still under process to know the actual cause of the death.

He shot to fame after he participated in ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ and was appreciated by people in both India and Pakistan.
