Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 127,241 tonnes of cargo including 88,393 tonnes of import and 38,848 tonnes of export, 2,163 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The freights comprised of 71,564 tonnes of dry cargo including 33,378 tonnes of general cargo; 38,186 tonnes of bulk cargo and 55,677 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Caribbean Carrier 1, Chemroad Rose, Bunga Bidara, Oriental Bouquet and Orient-II sailed out to sea during the reported period. Five vessels viz Kota Lambang, Bunga Bidara, Vidden, Zanis Grive and Kota Harum are currently at the berths.
Six ships namely Kota Lambang, Kota Harum, Iron Monger 5, Ha Na, Vidden and Alexi I expected to ail on Friday while another three vessels viz Kee Lung, Flag Investors and Al-Manakh are expected to sail on Saturday. Four vessels viz SC Guangzhou, Taban-1, Honest Rays and Jin Qiang due to arrive on Friday while seven ships namely Ostria, Ginga Cheetah, Apl Balboa, Uni Angel, Oel Mukbai, Saigon Express and Despina are due to arrive on Saturday.

Six ships namely CV CMA CGM Voltaire, CV CMA CGM Eiffel, CV Hanjin Piraeus, MV Thor Mariner, MT Gemini and MT Vanguard Viking sailed out to sea during last 24 hours. A total of ten ships namely Maersk Virginia, Maersk Novazzano, Bolan, Sha Belle, Harsanadi, Golden Crest, Chembulk Singapore, Sichem Melbourne, Sun Pine and Songa Crystal carrying containers, cement, palm oil and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV CMA CGM Eiffel, CV Hanjin Piraeus, CV CMA CGM Voltaire, MV Makran, MT Nikos-O, MV Thor Mariner, MT Gemini and MT Vanguard Viking are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, sun flower seeds, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during the report period.
Four ships namely CV Maersk Virginia, CV Maersk Novazzano, MT Golden Crest and MT Sun Pine carrying containers, palm oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Marginal Wharf-1 and EVTL on Friday. Three vessels viz MT Sigas Maud, MV Beluga Revolution and MV Safaga are due to arrive on Friday while two more vessels viz MT Al-Salam-II and MT Gaschem Dollart are due to arrive on Saturday.
