Police put on high alert in Lahore

Police have been put on high alert after the tragic incidents of suicide blast at Dera Ismail Khan and patrolling has been intensified in the city besides deployment of additional force around important government buildings, foreign offices, trade centres, bus and wagon stands.
Capital City Police Officer, Muhammad Pervez Rathore has directed all the divisional SPs to reorganise patrolling system in their respective areas and checking of hotels, guesthouses and sensitive places. He also directed to make foolproof arrangements at the entry points of the city as well as checking of suspicious persons and vehicles.
He appealed to the people to inform police about criminals or suspicious elements and vehicles on the following telephone numbers 9200304, 9202881, 9203997, 9202369 and fax numbers 9202973, 9204037.
