'Brain of Lahore' contest held

'Brain of Lahore' contest was held in collaboration with Trust Education Development of Deserving Students (TEDDS) and Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) on Friday. The ceremony was presided by Chairman Chief Ministers Task Force on Education Raja Muhammad Anwar.
Secretary Schools Education Punjab Nadeem Afzal, senior journalists Najam Sethi and Asrar Ahmed Kasana, General Secretary TEDDS Tahir Yousaf attended the ceremony. 160 schools of Lahore participated in the competition and out of these schools Haroon Hameed student of Government M.P.E High School Shadra town won the prize of Brain of Lahore.
He was given a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and his teacher was also given the prize of Rs 10,000. Secretary Schools Nadeem Afzal received the prize on behalf of the student.
The cash prizes of five thousand each were distributed among the students and their teachers of the students which include Muhammad Ahmed Nadeem student of Star boys high school won the prize in the subject of Chemistry, Zahra Aslam of Adbistan-e-Soofia girls high school won the prize in the computer science category, Umar Aslam of Crescent Model Higher Secondary School won the prize in the subject of Biology, Zain Tauqeer of The Educators Jinnah Campus Rachna Block Allama Iqbal Town won the prize in the category of General Knowledge.
Hina Tariq of New Cantt Public School 278 PAF colony won the prize in the subject of English, Danya Tayyab of LDA model high school Allama Iqbal Town won the prize in the subject of Physics with Hamda bin Shahzad student of The Educators Sehar Campus Samnabad.
