The Unicef would soon provide a special grant of $2.4 million to Pakistan for launching training programme for promotion of quality primary health care, re-productive family planning services and mobile maternity health services in remote areas of Pakistan on priority basic under its annual work plan.
Federal Minister for Population Welfare Dr Fardous Ashiq Awan disclosed this while addressing a meeting of lady health workers and representatives of the different NGOs held here on Sunday.
She said that the population welfare ministry has evolved a multi-phased effective strategy to create sense of population welfare among the masses and persuading them to keep their families small in active collaboration with the international donor agencies.
