About 18 children of elementary and secondary schools of Tehsil Gujar Khan warmed the hearts of the audience in a spell binding Naat competition here on Sunday.
Furqan Ali, Latif Foundation School Latifabad obtained first position, Fahad Iqbal, Sir Syed Model School Mandara got second and Haider Ali of Fauji Foundation School Sanghori secured third position. While appreciation prize was awarded to Arslan Ali of Fazaia Elementary School Kalam Sharif.
Wasim Mushtaq of Radio Pakistan, Hafiz Ahmad Raza and Professor Muhammad Farooq Qureshi were judges on the occasion. President Anjuman Faiz-ul-Islam Mian Muhammad Siddique Akbar presided over the Inter-Madaris Naat competition held at Faiz-ul-Islam Higher Secondary School Mandara here. He emphasised on imparting human values to students besides their educational training so that they can rise as dignified citizens.
Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) turned the human being from infidelity towards virtue and spread message of social justice, equality and brotherhood. Siddique Akbar said that universal teachings of Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) are the real source of enlightenment for the Ummah.
