Sindh government to hold 95 workshops for growers: minister

The Sindh Ministry of Rural Development has planned to conduct 95 workshops in different parts of interior Sindh to train and make the growers aware about the agriculture reforms and modern techniques of cultivation with the view to raise their living standard.
The Minister of Rural Development, Zubair Ahmed Khan stated this while addressing the prize distribution ceremony of Inter-Collegiate Drama Competition organised by Women Development & Cultural Forum at Zubaida Girls Degree College here on Sunday.
He further said that the agriculture is the backbone of the economy, a mojor source of income for the country and the large number of people associated with the sector. He added that the present government was focusing on the provision of infrastructure facilities at the rural areas to make its development programmes as success and result oriented.
Foundation of the any society can never be strong until and unless education is not given due importance and only a educated mother can play pivotal role to build a society on strong grounds that is why present government is encouraging girls to get education by providing them all facilities and incentives, he maintained.
Lauding the efforts for extra-curricular activities by the women development and cultural forum, the Sindh Minister said that it is very essential step to create a confidence among the participating students and incentives to others. On this occasion, Principal Zubaida Girls Degree College Professor Naushena Leghari, delivered her welcomed address and appraised the audience about the performance of her college. Later, the successful education institutions was declared by judges in which Zubaida Girls College secured 1st position in the Drama competitions, while Nuzrat Girls College got 2nd position, while Shah Latif Girls College stood at 3rd.
