Sun of independent judiciary is about to dawn: PML-N leader

25 Feb, 2009

Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Punjab vice-president Malik Muhammad Afzal Khokhar MNA said that sun of independent judiciary is about to dawn. Being optimistic, he said deposed chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry would be reinstated with dignity and honour soon.
'Sacrifices laid down in the struggle of independence of judiciary would bear fruits and army dictator who derailed democracy and massacred thousands of people would be held accountable sooner or later', he said while addressing a public gathering, here on Tuesday.
The PML-N leader hoped that instead of one-man rule, elected parliament would gain sovereignty and people would be made part of the government. "The day will indeed come when decision would be taken as per aspirations of people and change would come with the power of vote," he believed.
Khokhar said that PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif would realise every dream including independence of judiciary with the power of their unshaken determination and steadfastness. He said that dream of rule of law envisaged by founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah could be witnessed in the eyes of Nawaz Sharif. He said that no one but Nawaz Sharif was real well wisher of PPP-led government but astoundingly rulers were not ready to consult with national leadership to address all the problems on internal as well as external fronts.
