MRPL and BPCL bought 1 million barrels of Oman each while BPCL also purchased 1 million barrels of Upper Zakum for loading in August-September, traders said.

India's appetite for Russian Urals also stayed firm with BORL and IOC buying 1 million barrels each for September, they said.

In all, Indian refiners have purchased 7 million barrels of sour crude via spot tenders this month, supporting the market with their firm demand.
