'Economics students are future leaders of business, industry'

Governor Punjab Salmaan Taseer said on Monday that students of economics are the future leaders of business and industry of the country. Speaking as a chief guest at the 7th convocation of Lahore School of Economics, he said that for the success in the future we should produce 'Financing Mind' who would be proud as a Pakistani and consider themselves as a part of that society where billions of the peoples are still without education.
He said that country is in need of such economists who establish such kind of policies that support poor so that we can stop the increasing numbers of poor and could get a well-developed society. He also said that the knowledge does not complete after getting degrees but this process continues whole life and now our graduates will learn from present era. He asked the graduates that Pakistani society providing you opportunities for education and success and now when you will get a status in society than you should think about those who are left back and think why these peoples could not get same facilities.
The governor on this occasion also told that he also comes from an economic background and also started his career like economics graduates. He on this occasion appreciated the administration of Lahore School of Economics on making progress in a limited time. Governor also congratulated graduates and their parents on the success of their beloved and also distributed degrees and medals among the graduates.
Earlier, Dr Shahid Amjad Chaudhry, Reactor of Lahore School of Economics presented a report about his institution and briefed about different programmes of the school. Mahreen Anwer Raja, State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr Farzana Shahid, Registrar Beaconhouse National University, parents, students and media personnel were also present on this occasion.
