Women urged to open accounts with FWB

President, First Women Bank Ltd, Zarine Aziz has urged working women to open their accounts in First Women Bank (FWB) and enjoy benefits of lucrative banking products. Speaking at 2nd meeting of Banking and Insurance Sub Committee Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on Monday, she said that the bank is making repaid progress and also offering better facilities to women entrepreneurs as compared to others banks.
Though, the bank suffered Rs 2.71 million losses in 1996, during 2001 and 2007 it made a profit of around Rs 1.5 billion, that was the result of introducing new policies. She further said that the bank also offers private and public companies, male customers to open their accounts, however, the special facilities have been offered for working women, as 90 per cent of the bank customers are women. Referring to economic turmoil in the country, she said, "we must work hard to bring country out of the present economic crisis, as we have better opportunities present to coup with the situation as compared to past."
