Neglected goth

06 Mar, 2009

Its been a long time since the new Nazim took over, yet the residents of Ilyasgoth still await the improvement of their area. Only the main road has been built. Sewage water overflows onto the roads from the nallahs, and flows into the graveyard. The locality follows no organised plan of development as it is not under the KDA and has been allowed to mushroom haphazardly.
The residents complain that while other areas are being improved, why this place is neglected? Even more so when the government has put new utility charges on community development. Instead the government seems to be flittering precious financial and labour resources on constructing and reconstructing the rarely used footpaths of the main Clifton road. What a waste! On the brighter side, things at KESC seem to have improved.
