Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 56,237 tonnes of cargo including 34,846 tonnes of import and 21,391 tonnes of export, 3,251 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The freights comprised of 53,189 tonnes of dry cargo including 41,141 tonnes of general cargo; 1,368 tonnes of seeds; 10,680 tonnes of cement and 3,048 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Sun Shine, Adriatic Wind, Hyundai Emperor, Bunga Teratai-3, Bow Favour and Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed sailed out to sea during the reported period. Six vessels viz Team Al-Emirates, Vinh An, Bunga Teratai-3, Bauhinia Bridge, Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed and YM Inventive are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Bauhinia Bridge and YM Inventive expected to sail on Saturday while another four vessels viz Caribbean Carrier-1, Cap Gabriel, Uni-Angel and Quetta are expected to sail on Sunday.
Six vessels viz Iron Monger 3, Jonathan P, Uni-Angel, Mol Fortune, Nememcha and Alexi-III due to arrive on Saturday while nine ships namely Asdrubal, Ts India, As Palantia, Daffodil, Apl Balboa, Salome, Pacific Arrow, African Glory and Fatima-1 are due to arrive on Sunday.

Four ships namely MT Golden Glory, MT Hermion, CV Abu Dhabi and CV Saudi Abha sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another vessel viz CV Maersk Novazzano is expected to sail on Saturday. A total of nine ships namely Stolt Nanami, Golden Dominance, Fair Chem Charger, Alexi-III, Lion Princess, Jaipur, Sea Lion, Stolt Megami and Ann Egret carrying palm oil, cement, furnace oil, soyabean oil and project cargo respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV Abu Dhabi, CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Saudi Abha, MV Nobleses, MV Young Huan, MT Golden Glory and MT Hermione are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, sun flower seeds, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during the report period.
Six ships Khalid Ibn Al-Waleed, CV MSC Sierra, MV Jaipur, MV Ann Egret, MT Golden Dominance and MT Sea Lion scheduled to load/offload carrying containers, cement, project cargo, palm oil and diesel oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Fotco Terminal respectively on Saturday. Two vessels viz MT New Confidence and MT Swat with diesel oil and crude oil respectively are due to arrive on Saturday.
