On Monday, the BRIndex30 opened in the red zone at 5,307.19 and remained there for whole of the trading time. It closed at 5,270.05 with a net negative change of -56.39 points, or -1.06 percent. It experienced intra-day high of 5,325.57 and low of 5,246.25 points.
The volume was 23,711,500 shares, which was 49.34 percent of KSE All Share and 74.85 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes for KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 48,058,700 and 31,680,000 shares, respectively. BR Commercial Banks Index closed at 1,726.95, recording a negative change of -27.98 points, or -1.59 percent, and volume of 10,143,000 shares.
BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 1,199.23, recording a net negative change of -19.23 points, or -1.58 percent. The volume was 4,354,400 shares. BR Cement Index closed at 554.32 with a net negative change of -5.37 points, or -0.96 percent, registering volume of 3,708,600 shares.
BR Technology and Communication Index closed at 467.51 with a net negative change of -7.09 points, or -1.49 percent. Volume was 1,975,800 shares. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 896.10 with a net negative change of -2.58 points, or -0.29 percent. Volume was 1,024,800 shares.
