PPP has no future under Zardari: Haji Yaqoob

A former three-time elected member of the National Assembly and PPP stalwart Haji Mohammad Yaqoob Khan, announced quitting of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)on Thursday. Condemning the leadership of Asif Ali Zardari and he said that President Asif Ali Zardari has hijacked the party of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, as he has no leadership quality to run political affairs and coup with the problems sensibly and amicably.
"PPP has no future under the leadership of Asif Ali Zardari," regretted the PPP activists while announcing resignation from the ruling party here on Thursday. Meanwhile a large number of PPP workers from Mardan were also present on the occasion.
He not only announced participation in the lawyers movement on his own, but also appealed the PPP workers particularly of his constituency to fully participate in long march and sit-in for the independent judiciary, reinstatement of deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and removal of Governor Rule in Punjab.
The quitting of PPP by Haji Mohammad Yaqoob Khan, is being considered a big set back for the party in the prevailing crisis. He said that he had been serving the party for 22 years but now as the party co-chairman had ignored the manifesto of PPP and the sacrifices of the party leaderships Zulfizar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto had compelled him to quit PPP.
