Qazi vows to make long march a success

Amir Jamaat-i-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmed has said that JI as an organised party is fully participating in the Long March and vowed to make it a success. Talking to a private television network, he said the aim of the long march and sit-in is to get restored the judiciary of 2nd November 2007 and also the restoration of the deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
"If Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is restored, every one can file case in his court against Musharraf on the violation of constitution", he said. Qazi Hussain Ahmed said that he is against military interference in political affairs and supremacy of the constitution cant be upheld without independent judiciary. He said government by erecting barricades beleaguered itself.
He said President Zardari by appointing judges of his choice destroyed the judicial system, which needs immediate remedial action. He said the expectations of the nation cannot be fulfilled only by restoration of Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, therefore the entire judiciary should be brought back to its 2nd November 2007 position. He said the judiciary couldnt be reinstated till the repeal of chief of army staffs actions of 2nd November.
