US MIDDAY: soybeans up

Chicago Board of Trade soyabean futures opened higher Monday as the spread between soya and corn prices corrected following a rally in the corn market on Friday, traders said. Soyabeans soared 23-1/2 cents to $9 a bushel early Monday, traders said. At 9:32 am CDT (1432 GMT), CBOT May soyabeans rose 8 cents to $8.84-1/2 a bushel.
While the CBOT May corn contract was unchanged at $3.88-1/2 a bushel.
