Shutting eyes to realities

17 Mar, 2009

While addressing public meetings at various places across the country PML(N) leader and former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif made rather tall claims and at the same time keeping his eyes shut to the ground realities.
Mian Nawaz Sharif was claiming public support though in reality he has his vote bank limited only to Punjab province and joined the lawyers protest moment only to remain politically alive and in the mainstream of national politics.
At these meetings, Mian Nawaz Sharif while criticising his former ally and the PPP government has been making pointed mention of rising inflation and unemployment, Pakistan being in the grip of worst ever crisis, situation within the country and on the borders is worsening and what not.
Having mentioned this I would like to ask Mian Nawaz Sharif does he consider himself a responsible political leader who has been the Prime Minister and also served as the Chief Minister of the countrys biggest province Punjab or otherwise just a raw political starter.
Even as the Opposition leader he is expected to be responsible and watchful of the interests of the nation and the country rather than making harsh statements bordering on the contempt of the superior courts, inciting the people to take law into their hands and do no good but at all.
