Sizeable trading was seen on the wholesale grain and seeds markets on Tuesday as there was some interest in new purchasing, dealers said. On the seed side, til low type gained Rs 250 to Rs 3600 and better type was up by Rs 200 to Rs 3800, other items maintained the previous levels in process of trading, they added.
On the cereal side Makai lost Rs 200 to Rs 1050 and juwar followed suit, dropping Rs 400 to Rs 1000, urad Burma low type was down by Rs 50 to Rs 1650 and best type was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 2100, wheat old and new (burdana) with bag gained Rs 50 to Rs ]2450-2465, they said.
On the grams side, gram dal Australia low type was down by Rs 100 to Rs 3600 and better type was down by Rs 50 to Rs 3800, yellow peas Canada inferior type was also lower by Rs 100 to Rs 2400 and good type was lower by Rs 250 to Rs 2850 and Yellow peas dal Canada low type came down with a depreciation of 100 to Rs 2700 and best type shed Rs 50 to Rs 2850, they said. Only change was seen on the rice sector as irri-white low type was lower by Rs 400 to Rs 1200 and good type fell by Rs 100 to Rs 1600, they said.
