Two restored LHC judges resume work

Two restored judges of the Lahore High Court, Justice Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmad and Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman resumed their judicial work on Wednesday while Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif did not hold his court and remained in his chamber here on Wednesday. The judges also visited the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) to express their gratitude to the lawyers.
LHCBA president former Justice M.A Shahid Siddiqui and other office-bearers accompanied them to Kiyani Hall, Iqbal Lounge and Kashmir Hall, where they met to the lawyers. Flower bouquets were extended and showered on the judges, while the lawyers were restrained from sloganeering. Later the judges sat in their chambers where lawyers remained visiting them all the day to congratulate the judges on their restoration.
A delegation of LHCBAs employees also visited the restored judges and congratulated them on coming back to the courts and presented them flower bouquets. The delegation comprised of Mukhtar Hussain, Wazir Ali, Shabbir Hussain Allah Ditta and Abdul Jabbar.
