The Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) has received a sum of Rs 80 million under the Prime Ministers package for NA-178 constituency. MNA Jamshed Ahmed Dasti told newsmen on Wednesday that Prime Minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani has released the amount for village electrification programme in his (MNAs) constituency.
He said that he had a meeting with Mepco chief executive Chaudhry Guftar Ahmed recently who told that the company had received the amount for the development projects. Dasti said that he would be able to achieve 100 per cent electrification in his constituency by the end of 2009.
