The Directorate of Livestock and Dairy Development, Fata has launched a vaccination campaign in North Waziristan Agency for prevention of Enterotoxaemia, a bacterial disease of sheep and goats.
According to a press release of the Livestock and Dairy Department, Enterotoxaemia outbreak surfaced in Mir Ali Sub Division has been fully tackled by experts of Fata Secretariat Livestock department in the wake of mass awareness vaccination campaign in the affected areas of North Waziristan.
The preventive vaccination campaign against the disease is still in progress and no mortality is reported from any quarter. According to livestock experts, the Enterotoxaemia is non-contagious disease and it is often associated with lush fast growing pasture.
