45th BoD meeting: Pesco approves long-term loans for employees

Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) Board of Directors (BoD) in its 45th meeting on Wednesday approved the issuing of long-term loans to employees of the company. The meeting of the board was held with chairman Jamshid Savul in the chair who also approved an amount of Rs 459 million for rehabilitation of infrastructure in earthquake affected areas on permanent basis.
Anwar-ul-Haq Yousafzai Secretary BoD presented comprehensive report about the minutes of 45th BoD meeting and after detailed discussion Board of Directors approved minutes with minor amendments. Similarly, Board of Directors also approved construction of 33KV Chattar Kalas and 33KV Majohi Grid Station in Azad Kashmir. In view to overcome the demand and overloading problem in the forthcoming summer season, BoD gave approval for purchase of new transformers and structures, which will improve Pesco distribution system. In order to overcome the line losses, BoD also accorded approval for bifurcation of 223km lengthy 11 KV Tajori Feeder.
Chief Executive Pesco Muhammad Qasim Khan briefed Board of Directors regarding the line losses, recovery and pace of developmental works. He said that Pesco has succeeded to reduce the line losses and enhanced its recovery. BoD eulogised the performance of Chief Executive Pesco for leading the company to reduce the line losses and was optimistic that he will continue to work with same zeal and spirit for putting the company on the path of success.
The Board of Directors also approved a number of technical and managerial matters. Chief Executive Pesco Mohammad Qasim Khan, Anwar-ul-Haq, Pirzada Talha Ali, Abdul Majeed Malik, and Dr Mir Hatam Khan Members and Pescos Senior Management including Chief Engineer (T&G) Muhammad Wali Khan, Chief Engineer (Technical) Nawaz Ali Khan, Chief Engineer (Commercial) Rustam Zad Gul, Chief Engineer (Operation) Muhammad Yar Khan, Human Resources & Admn Director Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) Imtiaz Ahmad and Finance Director Anwarul Haq Yousafzai attended the meeting.
