Drive against stray dogs launched in Khanewal

The District government has launched a campaign to eliminate stray dogs in Khanewal city as canine injury posed major threat to public health and safety. The campaign was launched after citizens complaints mounted at district government offices.
Tehsil Municipal Officer Syed Ali Hassan Jaafary, talking to newsmen on Wednesday, stated that the city had been divided into different sectors for the purpose and Chief Sanitary Inspector Muhammad Bilal was appointed to supervise the ongoing drive. Hundreds of stray dogs have been eliminated during the ongoing drive. He also urged the citizens to extend optimum co-operation to render the campaign successful.
