Load shedding of electricity did not spare the people as outages continued in nearly all big and small cities of the country even on Monday, being holiday for the historic Pakistan Day. Business Recorder learnt that people were facing difficulties due to hourly load shedding with an interval of two hours in the interior of Sindh.
Power failure also gripped various areas in Multan even on Pakistan Day, whereas electricity remained suspended since 6:00 am in some nearby areas including Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Rahimyarkhan, Rajanpur, Alipur while many areas were braving one-hour load shedding after every two hours. The formula of one-hour load shedding, is also being practised in rural areas of Kanhgarh, Rangpur, Fazilpur, Jampur with short breaks.
In addition, 4-6 hours of load shedding in urban and 6-8 hours of disruption continued in rural areas of Jhang. Frequent power disconnection also tormented the people in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Gujranwala, Dera Ghazi Khan and in many areas of Southern Punjab.
