The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has planned to install another chiller in the Parliament House as two chillers already installed there would be unable to fulfil the growing needs in upcoming summer season, said a CDA official here on Wednesday.
He said the Authority has invited firms for pre-qualifications. Some interested companies would be short-listed and the process would follow the calling of tenders. He said the firms short-listed in tendering process would be allowed to take part in bidding. The official said the firm would be responsible for providing 765 ton-capacity direct fired absorption chiller machine and piping work at Parliament House.
The interested firms have also been asked that cost of the chiller should not exceed from Rs 40 million. The Authority has also advertised the names of prominent companies known for chiller-making those include York, Trane, Carrier, Sanyo, Kawasaki, Hitachi and Samsung.
He said the interested firms have also been asked to show experience and provide list of works of same nature already done by them. He said the Authority has also got cleansed the internal shell and replacement of chiller tubes and parts of the chillers installed in Parliament House to improve their working and efficiency.
