Businessmen advised to make future investment plans: Ibad

Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan has advised business community to forget past and start making investment plans in the country for better future of coming generations. Speaking at dinner hosted by Moosa Saeed, Kamran Rashid Allahwala, Rizwan Ahmed Baghpati on conformation of Sitra-e-Imtiaz on Khalid Tawab on Thursday, the Governor said that efforts are being made to provide better environment for investment and business activities.
He said that he is well aware of impact of international economic recession on local business and power, gas and water issues. Efforts are being made to get these issues resolved on priority basis. He hoped that economic condition would improve in near future and business community will feel a big relief. The governor said that the governments emphasis is to improve education stander and taking several steps in this direction.
He said that as first step the government has increased budgetary allocation for education. President Pakistan Industrial Forum (PIF) Khalid Tawab suggested that the government should prepare a long-term industrial policy to boost industrial activities in the country. He said that the country is facing very serious economic crises, industries are closing down, unemployment increasing, gas and power tariff moving upward in the region and all these issues need governments attention.
