Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has strongly condemned the attack at a police training centre in Lahore, and ordered the authorities to take immediate steps to control the situation. The Prime Minister telephoned Advisor on Interior Rehman Malik and Governor Punjab Salman Taseer and directed them to take appropriate steps to apprehend the culprits and rescue the police personnel in the academy, says a press release here Monday.
He directed for immediate inquiry into the incident, and also ordered for aerial surveillance of the area still under the siege of assailants. Gilani deplored the loss of lives in the terror incident and vowed that the perpetrators of such heinous crime would not be spared.-PR
