The Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal has said that Punjab Province had again been put on the road to progress by decision of the Supreme Court. The Speaker talked about the measures that had been put in field of education by the Government of Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and said that Rs 22.50 billion had been earmarked for the sector.
He said that enormous steps had been taken in the field of health and named measures with regard to dialysis treatment and said that free medicines were now available in the hospitals of Lahore particularly in emergencies.
He referred to provision of cardiology hospital in Balochistan and said that efforts by Shahbaz Sharif were not left to the Punjab Province but the entire country.
Talking about the courts decision said it was a good omen for democracy and would result in strengthening of it. He said by decision on reinstatement of Shahbaz Sharif Government was victory for the people of Pakistan and masses were the winners. Deputy Speaker Rana Mushood said that democracy had won and it was the fight for the survival of the country.
Criticising governor rule, he said, it was a bad decision and independence of judiciary was a good beginning and averred that calling of session on Wednesday was based upon bad intent and would not occur now. He said that if PPP wanted to sit on the opposition benches then they would be welcome and no body would stop them.
