Historical sites to be preserved at any cost: Palijo

The Sindh Minister for Culture & Tourism Sassui Palijo said that preservation of historical sites would be ensured at any cost and in this connection survey and documentation of all historical places of Sindh have been launched.
She expressed her views, while addressing Press Conference at Sindhi Language Authority, Hyderabad, here on Wednesday. After the completion of the first phase of survey, encroachment from all such sites would be removed that would be followed by implementation of preservation plan under second phase of the scheme, she maintained.
Furthermore, she apprised that her department was also planning to prepare scheme for the renovation of Rani Kot and to remove the repair mistakes made by the previous government. She also added that different committees have also been constituted to conduct research on the Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (RA), Hazrat Sachal Sarmast (RA), Hazrat Lal Sahbaz Qalandar (RA) and Hazrat Shah Inayat (RA), while work on Sindhi encyclopedia and dictionary was in progress.
