Principal Allama Iqbal Medical College Professor Dr Javed Akram has called for imparting training to nurses on modern lines so as to control diabetes and ensure better treatment to patients. While addressing a meeting, Professor Akram said that refresher courses would be arranged for nurses for proper care of the diabetic patients.
Apart from this highly qualified tutor nurses from foreign countries would also be invited to Pakistan, he added. He further said that nurses showing excellent performance would be sent abroad for higher education. M.S. Jinnah Hospital Dr Umer Farooq Baloch said that computer training would be imparted to the nurses and the facility of net and library would also be made available to them in the hospital.
