The provincial government of NWFP on Tuesday claimed that writ of the government was restored over 70 per cent areas of the troubled Swat valley, saying the consent of the President Asif Ali Zardari for the Nizam-e-Adal Regulation will further help improve the situation in the area.
This was stated by NWFP Minister for Information Mian Iftikhar Hussein while briefing the media here after provincial cabinet's meeting. Chief Minister NWFP Ameer Haider Khan Hoti chaired the meeting. He reiterated the three-pronged policy of the government to be pursued for restoration of complete peace in turbulent areas of the province, saying that dialogue was the only solution of the situation.
He said that even the United States after eight years long war had adopted the path of negotiations with the militants for the sake of peace.
