Federal Minister for Labour and Manpower Khurshid Shah has said that 70 percent sacked employees from 1996 to 1998 have been reinstated. Talking to journalists here on Tuesday after the meeting of federal cabinet committee for reinstatement of sacked employees, he said that according to the reports presented during the meeting seventy percent employees have been reinstated up to date and reinstatement letters have already been issued to them.
He further said that 25 percent employees have not yet approached their concerned organisations.
"All the institutions should write a letter to them so that they can contact their relevant institutions for reinstatement", he added. He also informed the committee that there are five percent sacked employees who are not reinstated on their job due to some problems.
He directed the concerned authorities to submit such cases to Revenue Board for review of their cases. During the meeting, he said that as per policy of PPP, the present government is trying to provide more jobs to the people to elevate poverty in the country. He underlined that the decision taken by the cabinet for reinstatement of sacked employees must be implemented as soon as possible to solve their problems.
