Justice Ijaz pays surprise visit to subordinate courts

Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry of the Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Saturday paid a surprise visit to subordinate courts of the city and found irregularities in record maintenance and various judges were absent from their courts. Justice Ijaz warned the judges of the subordinate courts to start daily court proceedings timely so that the lawyers and litigants could not face any unwarranted fatigue.
Justice Ijaz found incorrect and incomplete entries in record registers and violation of high courts directions pertaining to disposal of old cases on priority basis. He warned the Senior Civil Judge and civil judges to give priority to the disposal of pending cases and work with dedication and honesty. Member Inspection Team (MIT) LHC Syed Kazim Raza Shamsi also joined Justice Ijaz during the visit and submitted the report to the Chief Justice Sayed Zahid Hussain.
