Five Supreme Court benches at Principal seat constituted

The Chief Justice of Pakistan has constituted five benches at the Principal seat to hear a number of cases in the next week starting from April 13. The first bench comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed and Justice Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmed, second bench Justice Javed Iqbal, Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed and Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany.
Third bench Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan and Justice Mohammad Moosa K.Leghari, fourth bench Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan and Justice Sheikh Hakim Ali, while fifth bench Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani and Justice Nasir ul Mulk will function in the next week.
According to cause lists, no application for adjournment through fax would be placed before the Court. If the counsel is unable to appear for any reason, the Advocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case. No adjournment on any ground will be granted.
