Ulema Board condemns US drone attacks

The religious scholars in Punjab under the banner of Mottahidda Ulema Board has condemned the United States for drone attacks in tribal areas of Pakistan, resulting into heavy life losses and urged it to stop this cruel activity immediately.
"Any such activity is violation of the UN charter," said the Board, adding: "The UN and its Security Council should pass a resolution to condemn the US attacks in Pakistan." A meeting of Mottahidda Ulema Board was held here Saturday with Sahibzada Fazal Karim in the chair. A good number of religious scholars, hailing from different sects, attended the meeting.
The meeting offered prayer for the eternal peace of departed souls in Chakwal terrorist attack. The meeting condemned the sectarianism, terrorism and target killing in different parts of society. The participants said one reason behind the terrorism was drone attacks in tribal areas of the country, resulting into heavy casualties.
