The government has given the additional charge of the post of Chairman-cum-Member Judicial to Hafiz Ahsaan Ahmed Khokhar, Member Judicial of Customs, Excise and Sales Tax appellate tribunal Bench-II (Islamabad).
According to a notification issued here by the Law and Justice division, he has been given powers of drawing and disbursing officer with immediate effect for a period of three months or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He was appointed member of District Public Safety and Police Complaint Commission, Sheikhpura by the government of Punjab from November 2002 to November 2005. He has specialisation in various fields including corporate, civil, constitutional, labour, administration, management and arbitration affairs as well as social institutions and criminal justice.
Khokar had been a practising lawyer and regularly appeared before the superior courts of the country since the date of enrolment (1999) at bar.
