Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram, has bid adieu to Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Islamabad United and is reported to have joined the newly formed PSL sixth team Multan Sultans, for the upcoming third edition.
As per media reports citing sources, the legendary fast bowler is in process to sign a deal with the PSL latest franchise.
Akram who was representing the PSL champions as a mentor will now provide his services to Multan, meanwhile, Pakistan former Test skipper Misbah ul Haq would now take Akram role for Islamabad United, reports added.
Earlier it was reported, that Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez is likely to take captaincy of Multan Sultans.
Citing sources it was learnt that Sri Lankan legend Mahela Jayawardene will be the vice captain of the team whereas Australian player Michael Clarke is a strong candidate for coaching.
